FAQ

What exactly does Slow Travel Made Simple do?

Slow Travel Made Simple provides personalized planning, research, and strategy services for people who want to travel internationally, live abroad, or work remotely from another country — or for travelers who want expert guidance through the most complex and time-consuming parts of planning..

We can help with:

  • Destination selection

  • Entry and stay options

  • Housing strategy

  • Flight planning

  • Travel logistics

  • Timeline building

  • On-the-ground practical planning

Our goal is to turn “I want to go abroad” into a clear, realistic, step-by-step plan.

Do you book flights, hotels, or apartments for clients?

No. We do not directly book travel or accommodation on your behalf.

Instead, we:

  • Research options

  • Compare strategies

  • Recommend platforms and approaches

  • Show you how to book confidently yourself

This keeps you in control of your accounts, payments, and personal details.

Do you provide legal or immigration advice?

No. Slow Travel Made Simple is not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice.

We:

  • Research publicly available entry and stay options

  • Explain typical processes and timelines

  • Help you understand which questions to ask

  • Point you toward official government sources or licensed professionals when needed

Final legal decisions should always be made with qualified immigration attorneys or official government authorities.

Do you earn commissions, referral fees, or affiliate income from your recommendations?

Slow Travel Made Simple:

  • does not accept commissions

  • does not receive referral fees

  • does not promote paid partnerships

  • is not tied to airlines, hotels, relocation agencies, or service providers

This means our guidance is:
✔ independent
✔ unbiased
✔ based only on what fits your goals

Our only compensation is the consulting fee you pay us directly.

How do you approach safety and cultural awareness in travel planning?

Slow Travel Made Simple is intentionally inclusive. We recognize that LGBTQ+ travelers and travelers of color may encounter different experiences in certain destinations, and we take into account safety considerations, cultural context, and potential differences in local treatment when developing personalized travel plans. Our goal is to help each client travel with clarity — and with realistic awareness of their environment.

Do you only work with long-term travelers or people relocating abroad?

No. While many of our clients are planning extended stays or relocation, we also work with:

  • Travelers planning multi-week or multi-month international trips

  • Busy professionals who want to outsource complex trip planning

  • People combining travel with remote work (digital nomads or otherwise)

  • Anyone who wants expert guidance instead of spending hours researching alone

If your trip involves international travel and multiple moving parts, we can help.

I’m not sure what service I need yet. Where should I start?

Start with a Clarity Session.

This is a one-hour conversation where we:

  • Talk through your goals

  • Brainstorm destination and timeline ideas

  • Identify realistic pathways

  • Suggest the next best steps

Many clients begin with a Clarity Session and then decide afterward whether they’d like additional planning support or a different package. There’s no pressure — just a smart starting point.

Do you provide tax advice or help with U.S. tax matters?

No. We do not provide tax, accounting, or financial legal advice, including U.S. tax planning for people relocating abroad.

If your plans involve tax residency, foreign income, or international financial structuring, we’ll recommend that you consult a certified tax professional or CPA who specializes in international taxation.

Who are your services best for?

Our services are ideal for:

  • Long-stay travelers

  • Digital nomads

  • Remote workers

  • Group travel planning

  • People exploring relocation abroad

  • Any travelers who want planning handled for them

Whether you’re planning a three-week international trip or a multi-year move abroad, we tailor support to your timeline, preferences, and needs.
